Secure Sharing

Share links are unique URLs that let others view a screenshot without signing in. You can optionally set a password, an expiry date (e.g. 1 hour to 1 year), and a view limit. All of these are optional; recommended for sensitive content. Revoking a link stops access immediately.

Steps

1. Open share for a screenshot

Open the screenshot detail view and click Share. You can create share links for any screenshot.

2. Set options (optional)

Configure a password, expiry date, and/or maximum number of views. Leave them blank for an open link with no expiry.

3. Create the link

Click Create Share Link to generate the URL. Copy and send it; the link uses a unique token that can’t be guessed. Recipients enter the password if you set one.

4. Revoke (or create a new link)

Active share links are listed in the screenshot share dialog. You cannot edit a share link once it’s created; you can only revoke it. Revoked links stop working immediately. To change password, expiry, or view limits, revoke the existing link and create a new one.

Tips

• Use a strong password (e.g. 8+ characters, mixed letters/numbers/symbols) for sensitive screenshots.
• Set expiry slightly before you actually need access to end (e.g. 1–2 days earlier) for time-sensitive shares.
• Use view limits (e.g. 1–3 views) for one-time shares to reduce reuse.
• Create separate links with different passwords if you need to share the same screenshot with different people.
• Revoke links as soon as they’re no longer needed.
• Need different settings? Revoke the current link and create a new one—existing links can’t be edited.
